Qualified 1965; Lincoln’s Inn; practised law, in Cyprus, 1967-2005; practising law in Athens and London since 1974; first EU lawyer to become an advocate of the Supreme Court of Greece (Areios Pagos); practising arbitration and ADR; past president of the Mediterranean Maritime Arbitrator’s Association; member of several arbitration bodies; director in extensive number of offshore shipping and investment companies; author of chapter on Greece, ‘International Execution Against Judgment Debtors’ (Sweet and Maxwell); ‘Dispute Resolution Methods’ (chapter on Greece) - ‘Comparative Law Yearbook for International Business’ (special issue 1994 ed); ‘Judicial Sales of Vessels and Priority of Claims’, (chapter on Greece) - IBA Maritime Law Handbook; Retirement in Europe – the Tax Aspect (chapter on Greece) - International Tax Planning Association. Contributes regularly to international and national publications on foreign affairs and geopolitics.
He has acted as President of the Arbitration Committee on the disputes that have arisen on all of the major national roads in Greece financed by the EU and by a combination of Private and Public Partnerships.
