Tom began his career in 1998 as a criminal clerk, progressing to the position of Senior Criminal Clerk at Doughty Street Chambers by 2015.

In August 2018, he shifted his focus from criminal law to civil law, joining a leading civil set 11KBW. As Team Leader, Tom managed a team of silks and senior juniors specialising in commercial, employment, procurement, and public law. In February 2022, Tom expanded his commercial expertise by joining Gatehouse Chambers as Senior Practice Manager, where he also gained experience in construction and insurance law. In January 2025, he took on the role of Practice Manager at Quadrant Chambers.

In his current position, Tom is responsible for supporting and developing all aspects of the members' practices, including work allocation, fee negotiations, diary management, and managing both domestic and international client relationships.
