OVERVIEW

It was great to partner with Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe (UK) LLP for our 2023 Quadrant Chambers Annual Energy Disputes event. This time we discussed the "Life cycle of developing a renewable project – bottlenecks, trends and what happens when it goes wrong?"

Speakers included Quadrant's Alexander Uff and Claire Stockford, alongside Sarah Stockley and Simon Alsey from Orrick, and we were very pleased to have Suber Akther, Principal Litigation Counsel at Siemens Energy joining us for the in-house perspective. The topics they discussed included:

  • What does it take to get a renewable project off the ground?
  • Current challenges – including supply chain and geopolitical issues
  • Shareholder agreements – drafting points and the transactional perspective
  • Tariff issues, price disputes and pricing mechanisms

Thank you to everyone who came.
