Quadrant Chambers held a virtual speed moot for law students and society members on Monday 30th October 2023. The event was open to any students who are thinking of applying for pupillage in Feb 2024 for the 2025 pupillage round. 

The competition was individual, with each participant preparing both sides of a short moot problem based on contract law, and 7 minutes allowed per participant per round with a total of 6 rounds for the most successful mooters. Applications were accepted on a first come, first served basis (up to a maximum of 64 spaces) from 10am on Monday 16th October. To increase access, there was a limit on the number of accepted applications taken from each institution.

The moot problem and full instructions were provided by 4.30pm on Friday 27th October 2023. We anticipated that preparation of about half a day would have been needed, but with no additional research being necessary. The moots were all judged by Members of Quadrant and mooters were given feedback on their performance.
