Efficiency in International Commercial Arbitration in England: Three Innovations for Future Proceedings - Gaurav Sharma

OVERVIEW

We are thrilled to announce that Gaurav Sharma of Quadrant Chambers and Chantal du Toit of Shell have contributed to the recently published ‘International Arbitration in England: Perspectives in Times of Change’.

In this collection of essays and reflections by leading members of the international arbitration community, Gaurav and Chantal have co-authored a chapter entitled ‘Efficiency in International Commercial Arbitration in England: Three Innovations for Future Proceedings’, in which they argue for the introduction of (i) a Pre-Arbitration Protocol, (ii) Standing Institutional Arbitral Panels, and (iii) Active Early Case Management to improve the time and cost efficiency in future proceedings and consolidate England’s place as a centre of excellence in the practice of international arbitration.

The editors are the hugely talented Greg Fullelove, Laila Hamzi and Daniel Harrison. It is available from Wolters Kluwer
