To look at the legal issues in practice, they discuss the scenario of a cyber-attack on a containership resulting in the blocking of a terminal. They consider the issues raised by such an incident including congestion and delay, cybersecurity and cyber risk, the different types of contracts affected, (un)safe port claims and the insurance.
