Recruitment
Tenancy Applications
At Quadrant Chambers, we are open to applications from barristers to join our busy and friendly set across any of the specialisms in the range of our broad commercial practice.
In particular we welcome applications from Juniors over 4 years’ call (especially from under-represented groups) who can demonstrate excellence in their practice and strong marketing skills.
If you are interested in applying, then do please contact Sarah Longden, the Chief Operating Officer: sarah.longden@quadrantchambers.com or 020 7583 4444 who will give you more information as to the application process. An initial informal and confidential discussion with a member of our recruitment committee is also available.
Probationary Tenancy
At Quadrant Chambers, we welcome applications for probationary tenancy from pupils who have completed pupillage at a commercial set. We also encourage applications from exceptional candidates whose pupillage may have been in other areas of practice. We are particularly keen to hear from individuals from under-represented backgrounds and are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive environment.
To apply, please send a covering letter addressed to Chris Smith KC, our Head of Pupillage, along with your CV - chris.smith@quadrantchambers.com. It is helpful if you also include a summary of the work you have undertaken during your pupillage. All applications will be treated in the strictest confidence.
We are looking for individuals who demonstrate strong legal analysis and excellent advocacy skills. We take an active and supportive approach to probationary tenancies: each probationary tenant is assigned a mentor, and we work closely with you throughout.
During the probationary period, you can expect to be undertake written work, attend hearings, and take on appropriate instructions under the guidance of your mentor and our clerking team. During this time, you will receive funding of £6,000 per month, in addition to retaining any earnings you generate.
We want you to succeed, and where possible, we aim to make decisions early in the process. The probationary tenancy can last for up to six months. We have an excellent track record of probationary tenants being offered full tenancy.
