Simon Rainey KC, Gemma Morgan and Peter Stevenson from Quadrant, were delighted to be joined by Andrew Preston, founding partner of Preston Turnbull. The panel considered the BIMCO clauses which have been introduced to address new risks faced by the shipping sector. In particular, they consider the clauses in relation to automatic identification system (AIS) switch off, Covid crew change and just in time (JIT) arrival clauses as well as the cyber security clauses 2019. The clauses will provide the background to a discussion of the practical situations that arise for parties.
