Poonam Melwani QC spoke to Catherine Baksi at The Times for their 'In conversation' feature. 

They discussed Poonam's new appointment as Head of Quadrant Chambers, the mentoring schemes she has introduced at Quadrant and the first time appointment of a deputy head of chambers in Ruth Hosking to encourage junior tenants to raise issues. They have an important conversation about being a woman at the commercial bar and juggling family life with four sons. Poonam talks about her family background and how the values of community and support have shaped her priority to promote collegiality and support within chambers, particularly post-pandemic.
