Senior Advocate Prashanto Chandra Sen joins Quadrant Chambers as an Associate Member

Prashanto is a senior advocate and leading commercial and arbitration practitioner, practicing in a broad range of commercial, regulatory and public law disputes. He is frequently involved in high-end commercial, mining, energy, infrastructure and environment disputes. He appears in the Supreme Court of India and the High Courts of India, as also before National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT), National Company Law Tribunal, (NCLT), Appellate Tribunal For Electricity ( APTEL), Competition Commission of India (CCI) and the National Green Tribunal (NGT). His arbitration practice spans appearances in ad hoc and institutional arbitrations. He accepts appointments as counsel and arbitrator. He appears in a variety of commercial matters in court. Prashanto appeared in the landmark BALCO case, (2012)9SCC52 where the Supreme Court laid down the law relating to seat of Arbitration in the context of International Commercial Arbitration. He is currently a core committee member of the International Chambers of Commerce (ICC), India Arbitration Group. 

He commenced practice in the litigation department of the leading corporate law firm, Amarchand Mangaldas before joining the Chambers of Dr Abhishek Manu Singhvi, Senior Advocate and Parliamentarian and former Addition Solicitor General of India. He then joined the chambers of Mr. C.A. Sundaram, a leading Senior Advocate. He established his independent practice in 2005 and was designated Senior Advocate in 2017.
